Oh yes, joy that the second season of Shakugan no Shana (灼眼のシャナ) came out last fall. The anime was very well-drawn, and for me it was very addicting. (Of course it was.) You get an

overview/introduction to drag the viewers back in, and starts off with a blast. Especially the animation of the opening. That was just incredibly cool. No kidding.
Basically, there’s the same
oh-no-the-bad-guys-are-going-to-destroy-the-world-and-we-must- stop-them-attitude from Shana and how she holds the a “Flame Haze’s” pride, or should I say, a “Fureimu Heizu’s” pride. Kudos to the Japan-ized English, ha ha ha.
The love struggle is all there again, what with Yuuji (悠二) forgetting what Shana (シャナ) said at the end of the last season. Well, whatever, the anime would probably be better off starting the second season by resetting the plot (at least semi-resetting, the bad guys are still there).
Kazumi (一美) still annoys me, seeing how she cannot express herself and sees herself as a hopeless, powerless girl who cannot do anything to help Yuuji. She complains a lot to herself. Annoying. 煩い煩い煩い! (Shana’s favorite line.)
I’m not going to spoil anything here, and you should check it out in whatever way possible! :]
Well, let’s see how well this covers the novels. (I really must buy all of those novels :] I’ll either need to learn Japanese or buy the Chinese versions. Do they have English? I think so.)
Mmm, melonpan (melon bread).
