I hold high hopes for this year’s fall season. Clannad ~after story~, Hyakko, ef ~a tale of melodies~, and many others are debuting around this time.

I’ll write about some of my more anticipated and/or just-want-to-talk-about series. Long list… xP

Let’s begin~ Are you ready? (lol)

とらドラ！(Toradora!)

Airing date: October 1st

So. Another loli-tsundere storyline, huh? (But wait! You can’t judge an anime by its cover!) I watched the first episode yesterday. Nice little prologue xD

Basically, Ryuuji Takasu is a dude who is

nice and kind and all that (I love his personality), but his own friken eyes make him look like he’s being condescending to everyone at school. (At least smile?) He’s treated like some delinquent, so with his chances of getting a girlfriend about 0.00000% (or any more friends other than one named Yuusaku Kitamuri for that matter), he basically goes “<3 HAATO!!!” when he meets Minori Kushieda, the only girl that will basically talk to Ryuuji. (Let us take a moment of silence for Ryuuji. We all know your pain, even if we don’t understand it )

There’s a problem though. The tiger, the most dangerous and risky schoolgirl of all, Taiga Aisaka, also happens to be in the same class. And guess what is typical of all violent and antisocial girls in anime. Yup, you’re right: tsundere-ness. She’s Minori’s best friend. Her crush: Yuusaku (duh). After Ryuuji finds out about her love letter, he tells Taiga of his crush, and together they solve their love problems.

But ya know, there’s a 99.9999999% chance that the couple at the end will be Ryuuji and Taiga . . . so obvious to the trained otaku!

Oh and Ryuuji’s mom is messed up, and Taiga’s a total klutz. xD

Tora means tiger, and dora means dragon (from “doragon”).

夜桜四重奏 ～ヨザクラカルテット～ (Yozakura Quartet)

Airing date: October 2nd

Just like how the name and picture implies, the main characters are in their quartet of teenagers; teenagers who just happen to have supernatural powaa~

Hime is mega-strong, Ao can read yo mind, and Kotoha can summon stuff into existence. And there we go again, a main male character who is absolutely superpowerless (Suzumiya, anyone?) (EDIT: Well, yea, he can tune, but besides that he’s useless )

There they go to protect their city, Sakurashin, from evil. Man, the mangaka sure likes sakura >O<

クラナド ～アフターストーリー～ (Clannad ~After Story~)

Airing date: October 2nd

BANZAIIIIIIIIIII lol ok *ahem*. The promised second season of Clannad is out and ready to be watched a billion times by Tomoya, Tomoyo, Nagisa, Kotomi, Kyou, and Ryou fans… (and don’t forget Youhei and Nagisa’s parents!)

The first episode was slice-of-life-awesome as expected. Furukawa-san organizes his crazily imbalanced baseball team and they battle it out with some very good players.

I’ve got high hopes this time.

地獄少女 三鼎 (Jigoku Shoujo Mitsuganae)

Airing Date: October 4th

For some reason the first season of this anime has been mildly popular, though I didn’t really see a very interesting aspect in the plotline. To put it simply, Jigoku Shoujo is (obviously) Hell Girl, and she answers to her internet website only accessible at midnight. If one posts a grudge there, she will come to send the offending person to hell – along with the complainant.

機動戦士ガンダム００ [ダブルオー] セカンドシーズン (Mobile Suit Gundam 00 Second Season)

Airing date: October 5th

Now I really don’t like mech-genre anime, with robots flying around and blowing each other up, but due to the inane amount of fans the series has received, I’d feel guilty not putting this up here.

So there; more gundam. :]

ヴァンパイア騎士 Guilty (Vampire Knight Guilty)

Airing date: October 6th

So, Vampire Knight fans, here is your next supplement of Vampire Knight. Don’t forget to go “kyaa~” every time you watch it.

I’m pretty sure most girls who watch anime are like obsessed about this (like Jessica, for example). Really, what is so tantalizing about bishounen-style character design + romance? Oh wait, I forgot the vampire factor. Yeah, definitely. Isn’t that what made people read the Twilight series?

Therefore, let me present, to all those fans out there – more guys holding silver guns, more girl-in-love-with-guy, and more vampiric action. May bishounen be with you. (No, I’m not insulting you in any way at all. Really!)

のだめカンタービレ 巴里編 (Nodame Cantabile: Paris)

Airing date: October 9th

Ah yes; Nodame Cantabile was a good classic and a good mix of music and anime flavors. This season tells of our annoyed main character, Shinichi Chiaki, with his pwnsome piano skillz, pwnsome violin skillz, and his dream to have pwnsome conducting skillz. Nodame’s always a bother, though

This anime is really fun to watch; you don’t have to be a music nerd or anything. Hilarious, upbeat, and perverted at times XD
