Hayate no Gotoku! Introduction

So who likes random anime? I do. Of course I do. Why would I name my blog otherwise?

Now, this anime/manga currently has 47 or 48 episodes released and is called ハヤテのごとく！ or Hayate no Gotoku! (yes, the ‘!’ is part of the title), and some people use an English title of Hayate the Combat Butler. Personally, I don’t like the English title. It’s not a combat anime at all.

You may be thinking, “So how is it random?” Well then, reel in the first episode… (Spoiler warning: if you want to experience the first episode first-hand, go watch it; otherwise, read this.)

Fansubber: Eclipse Productions

First of all, Happy Valentines Day to all of you out there! (Yay!) Now then–on with the post.

One of the greatest fansubs (anime subtitled by fans) I know is Eclipse Productions. They have been very helpful in delivering high-quality translations, keeping the original Japanese dub. (In my opinion, anime translated by official people are typically not as good as the fansubs’ version.)

They’ve subbed many of my favorite titles, including Clannad, Shakugan no Shana (both seasons), Hayate no Gotoku!, and Kanon, among others. These series haven’t even been completely released yet, lol.

Currently, their titles include Clannad, Claymore, Fate/Stay Night, Hayate no Gotoku!, Kanon, Manabi Straight, Pumpkin Scissors, Rental Magica, Shakugan no Shana (both seasons), and Stratos 4.

MOVIE – Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street

Not much time right now, so I’ll just jot stuff down.

Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street – Loved this movie. Well, if you don’t like musicals, you might not like it. But it was a blast, seriously. You don’t see many movies that blend plot, music, and violence (heh) so perfectly.

Starring Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, and Alan Rickman! Yaaaay. Lolz.
