Universal Studios

I don’t feel like writing, so I’ll make it short.

We went to Hollywood’s Universal Studios. It was fun. Tanoshii desu.

Details comin’ later…but you probably don’t even care, so what the heck :]

EDIT: Details are permanently “postponed”. LOL; who cares.

Six Flags Magic Mountain

Okay, so today we went to this amusement park to kill our legs. The drive was around forty minutes.

It was seriously leg-killing. The minute we got there–we had to walk for like fifteen minutes after getting off the car just to get to the park. We had tickets bought with a discount from off the internet (so next time, google for coupon codes for park discounts).

The first two rides we went on were regular rollercoaster rides. It had seemed that it would be a great day.

But the unexpected and the worst were about to happen. *dramatic music plays*

He-who-must-not-be-named (ah yes, Voldemort lol) saw the sign to a raft rapids ride and mention us to it. The idea was that, if we were to get wet, we had to do it earlier in the day for it to dry off.

But it didn’t go that easily. We were literally soaked. Also, the raft was not letting water leak out, and we had to raise our feet up to avoid soaking our shoes.

Hah. It was SO COLD, FREEZING COLD AND WET AND AND — ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh–

sigh.

Anyways, we spent most of the rest of the day with our jeans so soaked that they were a darker color. I thought the ride Tatsu was interesting. The seat are rotated backwards so that the passengers face the ground. Nice. I also went on this Superman ride where you accelerate horizonally 100 mph in three seconds. The others didn’t dare. Go me. (But it’s no fun being alone! :[

So after eating a very late dinner, I’m finally back sitting on a sofa (although it feels like I’m still on the rollercoaster. Ha)

So I guess that ends it. We’re currently chillin’ out, lol. Mata ashita!

Los Angeles is da First Stop

Okay, so I’m here at L.A. after six hours of driving (I didn’t drive, duh :] ), and I just thought that I should blog something up here.

My family was supposed to leave and head toward Los Angeles at 10:00, but we ended up waking at around 12:00. We packed up and left at around 14:00. Sigh…

Nothing interesting really happened on the way here, so I just listened to my iPod and rewatched episode 10 of Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu on the car. (Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu is totally rad–the animation and sounds is what sets the anime apart from all the others.) I tried singing a couple of Mandarin pop songs (M-pop or whatever) with some failure -_-

Sooo, when we finally went past the plains of nothingness and the high mountains and Magic Mountain and such and finally entered the huge city of Los Angeles, I was much relieved. We ate at a restaurant (mmm, good food) and went to my friends’ house to visit/stay as a guest.

It was nice meeting them again after a year. I had fun just chatting with them and showing them some funny YouTube videos (“iRack”, anyone?) and stuff. I coughed a lot–I had been coughing for a few days now, and it always seemed to go away only to return. Well, at least I’m not coughing right now. I feel sick and ugghh when I do that.

Well, I guess that would be the end of my day, and sorry if this was a waste of time for you to read. (lol) I mean, why do you care about my life? (gah)

Download: Goshuushousama Ninomiya-kun Selected Artwork

For those of you who could not stand/continue watching this anime but liked the artwork, I’ve made a selection of images from the anime for you to download! XP

I selected one out of the two eyecatches (the images before and after commercial breaks) from each episode. I judged which I thought was better, and in the event that one was too suggestive (*ahem*), I chose the other one.

Can’t open RAR files? Get WinRAR from http://www.rarlabs.com/download.htm (pick the top one). The trial version never expires.

Broken link? Report it here, in the Downloads page.

Goshuushousama Ninomiya-kun 02

Wow. This is taking fanservice to a whole new level. (ewww)

Nevertheless, I love the artwork.

Goshuushousama Ninomiya-kun 01

Okay, so a very good friend of mine said “You should watch this. It’s funny…in a bad way. *ahem*”

…yeah…

Well, my first impressions:

BEFORE WATCHING FIRST EPISODE:

Hmm, good artwork. Hope it’s not too harem-ish.

WATCHING FIRST EPISODE:

1. Ehh?! Fighting polar bears?

2. EH WAHAHAH WAHHAA??

3. SEXUAL HARASSMENT, MARTIAL ARTS, PROJECTILE ATTACKS AND FALLING BARBELLS? SOO RANDOM…I LOVE THIS ANIME

4. Hmm. I really like the art style. Choppy, stylish, and cute all at the same time O_o

5. Yoshida and Inoue…sounds like Ishida and Inoue from Bleach lol

6. The usual girl-falls-on-main-guy-character’s-face scheme…ew

7. WOAH HIS SIS IS TALKING ON A CELLPHONE WHILE SHOOTING PEOPLE IN A WAR…

8. Oh my gosh an army of male perverts ganging up on poor Mayu.

9. …that androphobia thing didn’t even make sense.

10. WHY DOES MAYU HAVE TO WEAR THAT OUTFIT? It’s getting on my nerves…

11. Haha recorded footage…always ruining Shugo’s moments.

So it is perverted. Whatever. It isn’t bad, though. I guess I’ll watch. My policy is “watch them random anime yeah” whatever that means.

This is one heck of a perverted anime…

iPod touch

Christmas came early for me. My grandfather gave me an iPod touch! Yipee~ lolz

Clearing Up the Nickname Thingy

As the title implies, I want to clear one thing up.

Ok, look:

1. I like to be called Joshua.

2. I don’t like to be called Josh. My name is not Josh.

3. If anything, call me Josha (omit the /u/).

It’s really not a big matter, but people keep on bothering me with this issue. Yeah, you guys know who you are.

Winter Break

Ah yes; school’s over for this week. Mind you, they call it “winter break,” but it’s hardly a break if you consider all the *extra* homework they give you over vacation.

Example dialogue:

Professor Teacher: “This is your vacation homework.” *points to the board*

Student: “WHAT?! That’s too much work!”

Professor Teacher:  “You guys will have the whole week to do it. Therefore I’m giving you this much.”

Me: [whispering to Student] “This is ridiculous. Our teachers don’t understand the concept of a ‘break’ or ‘vacation.’”

Sigh…. My next blog would be Clannad 11 and Shana 11, if it’s not so outdated already. I’ll try to keep up with anime from now on–I guess, if I can manage with homework. Oh; speaking of homework, I would like to say that my English grammer is very good. Not that I’m bragging. Lols. Okay, maybe I am.

Picnik – Easy, free online image-editing

I stumbled across Picnik earlier this year while I was surfing the internet. I thought that it was really cool and I did some quick editing with my images.

I totally forgot about it after that.

Then a few days ago, I needed a quick program to quickly edit some of my images. Hmm. I seemed to recall using something just perfect for that…. After some thinking and several Google searches, I found Picnik once again.

Picnik.com is a very user-friendly and free website, totally on an animated platform for image-editing. It supports a variety of features; adding text, auto-fixing, and resizing are my favorites. Of course, more advanced items can be used by subscribing or pretty much paying the Picnik creators.

Give it a try!
